Dear children,

We had our Honours Day ceremony in the hall today to recognise the children who achieved outstanding results in CCAs and external competitions.

For her involvement in the Singapore Youth Festival 2015 Art Exhibition, our Thaneeisha was among those who went on stage and received applause from everyone in the school hall. Well done, Thaneeisha! We are very glad that you have been recognised and are very proud of you! :)

I will update this post with a photograph or two from Honours Day when I receive them from the photographer.

When we were back in our classroom, we gave out the Hildan MOST Awards for this term. These are the winners:

Sincere Hildan: Kaedee

Responsible Hildan: Isaac

Humble Hildan: Samir

Wise Hildan: Sarah

Inquiring Hildan: Hoi Yung

Congratulations to the winners! :)

Let's take these five children as good examples. May we continue to work towards being sincere, responsible, humble, and wise, and may we never stop learning!

You would have taken down your June holiday homework in your handbook. In case you missed out anything, here's the list (click on the pictures to zoom in): 

As mentioned in class, the homework given will take you just one or two days to complete. My advice for you is to complete them early so that you can enjoy the rest of your holidays without worrying about the homework. Make wise choices.

Dear children,

I hope you enjoyed the birthday party prepared for you by some of your parents today. Though many of them could not be around for the party, the food and the birthday cards came from them. I am sure you like the goody bags that were thoughtfully prepared for you too. Remember the time, effort and money all these parents have put in for your enjoyment! :)

You thoroughly enjoyed playing "Dog and Bone" after eating, but it was a pity that the game was short because we spent too much time getting settled. We could have had more time for the game. Let's see how fast you can get settled next time round. ;)

It was a pleasure giving out so many certificates to those of you who were deserving of them. 

The faithful and responsible leaders of P3/5 TRUTH have served the class well for the past term and truly deserve the certificates of recognition given to them. 

The members of Sharks -- Ethan, Keagan, Ranjiv and Shaan -- worked very hard at their studies and behaviour and truly deserve to win the Group of May award too. Did I forget to mention that Ranjiv and Shaan are the first two children to win the Level 2 prizes? Hurray, we finally have Level 2 winners! I hope to give out more coloured pens, wax crayons and scissors next term.

The final group of children who truly deserve their special certificates are those who have worked exceptionally hard to improve themselves from Term 1 to Term 2. I am extremely proud of them! :)

Sony Creative Science Award Toy-making Competition
