Dear children,

After an address by Mrs Chong this morning, we spent most of our time in the Hildan Ark learning about safety, school attire and discipline from Ms Joyce Tan. Mrs Daphne Phua spoke to us about citizenship and character building and Mr Vai briefed you about CCA selection. Then, Mr Isaac Lee told you about the SwimSafer Programme which you will be involved in later this year. 

I hope you paid full attention to all the speakers because the things that they have informed you about are all so important! Here's a question to jog your memory: Where are the only two areas that are safe for you to play at during recess? :)

In class, we spent time learning how to write a comment on this blog. Remember to use proper English whenever you are commenting. End off your comment with your name and select "Anonymous" from the "Comment As" box.

We spent time cleaning the classroom too. Here are some photographs of you hard at work:

Thanks to every one of you, we now have a cleaner classroom to learn in! Over the next two weeks, I will ask some of you to help me make the classroom even more conducive for your learning. Will you be willing to help me? Let me know by writing a comment below. :)

Here are today's reminders:

1) Remember to bring your thermometer and tissue paper tomorrow for the temperature-taking exercise.

2) Pass to your parents the letter regarding CCA. The information in it is important for them to know about your CCA selection.

3) Show your parents the sheet with your personal information. Have them check it to make sure that the information on it is correct. If there are any changes to be made on it, a pen should be used to do so. Bring the sheet back to me tomorrow.

4) If you have not submitted the Annex B (Parent Class Representative Reply Slip) and Annex D (Student Medical Record) from yesterday's letter, make sure you submit them to me tomorrow.

5) If there are books or other items that you have not bought for any subject, please buy them soon. We are starting proper lessons from tomorrow onwards. You may keep those items in the classroom in your individual book holder.

6) Here's the seating arrangement I have come up with for this term after knowing you for two days. Let's see how this works out tomorrow. The list of Group Leaders and Monitors for this term will be shown to you tomorrow along with the list for class cleanliness duties.
