3 August 2015 (Monday)

Dear children,

We started off today by giving out the prizes to the Group of July -- Robotics! This month's competition was intense, with Stampy, Detectives and Stars following closely behind Robotics.

Matthew, Christian, Shineta and Shaan have worked very hard in their studies and their behaviour in the past month and truly deserve to win the award.

With Robotics winning this month, Christian and Shineta have moved up to join Ranjiv at Level 2, while Matthew has joined 14 others as a Level 1 winner.

Shaan has emerged as the first child in P3/5 TRUTH to win the Level 3 prizes! He has earned a packet of rose seeds, a blue erasable pen which he can use whenever he likes for Mr Wong's class work, and a Laptop Access Pass which entitles him to use a laptop anytime after he has finished his work during Mr Wong's class. Would you like these prizes too? Aim to hit Level 3 soon too! :)

The winners for the "P3/5 Fractions Games Championship" were also revealed this morning.

With a Level 20 score of 75500 points earned from 59 correct pairs and 3 misses, Shineta emerged the champion for Game 1 -- "Matching Equivalent Fractions"!

Yuqi became the champion for Game 2 -- "Fruit Splat (Fractions Addition)" with a score of 264 points earned from 57 hits and 13 misses.

Shaan won Game 3 -- "Fruit Splat (Fractions Subtraction)" with a score of 139 points earned from 49 hits and 4 misses.

Well done, champions! Besides winning two water guns each, they also earned Early Lunch Passes which they can use for themselves or with a friend for early lunch during last-period lessons with Mr Wong.

Are you interested to win prizes like these too?

Watch out for the "P3/5 Money Games Challenge" coming up later this week! ;)

During Maths lesson, we continued learning about subtraction of money with Calvin and Hobbes. Along the way, we met Uncle Muthu and the lousy blue thing. Those of you who were sharp caught the rhymes in my story too. ;)

If you would like to download my slides for today and go through them again, you can visit this Dropbox link:

Ms Tang and I were amazed by how focused you were during English lesson today. After completing your Google Slides, you presented them to your friends from another group and they gave you feedback so that you can improve. In return, you did the same for your friends.

Please click on the link below to access the comments that your friend has given you about your slide. Look out for your own name in the yellow column and read the comments. Then, think about whether or not your friend's comment is useful for helping you to improve your slide. Edit your slide before we meet again tomorrow.

Remember to act on what you have taken down in your handbook today.

Have a pleasant evening with your family. See you tomorrow! :)

  1. Mr Wong,
I already did the Fractions Games that day and submitted it to you. I don't know why you did not receive my results.
