2 July 2015 (Thursday)

Dear children,

With the little time we had together today, we started on our first Science topic for the term -- "Life Cycles of Plants".

As we looked at how seeds grow and what they need to start growing, we also learnt important terms like "embryo", "seed leaves", "seed coat", "germination", "main root", and "side roots".

Test yourself: Can you recall what seeds need in order to start growing?

Here's the time-lapse video of mung beans germinating, which we watched in class. The process is amazing, isn't it? :)

Here is another one on growing kidney beans over a ten-day period:

We will be growing our own bean plants in class tomorrow. Look forward! :)

As promised, here is the new seating arrangement and the list of leaders for this term:

This is the cleanliness duty schedule:

Remember to refer to your handbook for the instructions you took down today. Act on them.

Have a restful evening with your family. See you tomorrow! :)
