1 September 2015 (Tuesday)

Dear children,

You received your English Test today and we went through the paper.

The highest score in our class is 18 out of 20 marks.
The class average score is 14 marks.
The lowest score is 10 marks.

Children who scored 17.5 marks and above earned ice-cream sticks for their groups:

7 sticks
Alden (18 marks) from Lego
Shaan (18 marks) from Robotics

With August behind us now, we gave out prizes to the Group of August. Once again, Robotics won the competition of the month! Shaan, Shineta, Christian, and Matthew have worked very hard in their studies and their behaviour in the past month and truly deserve to win the award.

With Robotics winning again this time, Christian and Shineta have moved up to Level 3, each earning some alfalfa seeds, a blue erasable pen and a Laptop Access Pass. Matthew, now a Level 2 winner like Ranjiv, earned his coloured pens, wax crayons and scissors. Shaan, soaring like an eagle, won the first Level 4 prize -- a Painting By Numbers kit that will truly train his determination, test his patience and sharpen his painting skills.

Alvan, Matthew and Yuqi were revealed as the winners of the "P3/5 Money Games Challenge". Well done, champions! :)

Besides winning an Early Lunch Pass and a special certificate, each of them also won a packet of sticky corn, which they can use for creative modelling.
We also gave out the Hildan MOST Awards for this term. These are the winners who each won a $1 voucher from the school:

Sincere Hildan: Huda
Responsible Hildan: Jing Min
Humble Hildan: Alvan
Wise Hildan: Ranjiv
Inquiring Hildan: Shineta

Congratulations to the winners! :)

Let's take these five children as good examples. May we continue to work towards being sincere, responsible, humble, and wise, and may we never stop learning!

If you find your register number in any of the lists below, you will be staying back tomorrow during recess to complete your work. Make sure you have a good breakfast before coming to school, since you most likely will not have any time left to eat by the time you clear your work with me. If you cannot finish your work during the half an hour, you will have to stay back after school with me. Be prepared.
